Innovartis and its flagship product, DB Ghost™, were founded by two IT Consultants who had worked on numerous business critical and technically ambitious IT projects, and found themselves and their colleagues in the frustrating situation of constantly fire fighting what seemed to be a never ending battle against issues that had arisen whenever changes to the projects databases had occurred. They had known for sometime that most approaches to database change management involve tedious, manual and costly processes that are error prone. In many cases there was no version control of the objects that reside within the database. This resulted in database chaos. An expensive, and in their eyes, unnecessary result. So, fed up with the increasing amount of time consuming and costly development downtime, they simply thought that as there were no adequate one-stop-shop solutions on the market, that they would create their own.
